PAT MILO / Photographer

I, like most other gay boys of a certain age, was first exposed to erotic pictures of men through fitness and bodybuilding mags and photos. Then, it was more about the images and the beautiful men in them. It still is. However, I now have an appreciation for the photographers who were behind the cameras and can appreciate the thinly veiled gay sensitivities of the lens men as well as the purveyors of the works. Pat Milo was one very well known weaver of fantasy who had his heyday from the 40's to about the 70's. And many of his models were equally well known. Here are: Charlie Day, Jim Stewart, Don Rackenby, Frank Bird and Tony Sabatino. Note the erection on Don Rackenby ( how could you fail to see it) which was extremely rare for the times and the genre.

Two for one today. A video spoof of Rihanna's Only girl in the World. Full credits are given at the end.

This an hysterical video from Saturday Night Live with Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake and Jay Pharoah. Have fun.

RUSS WARNER/ photographer

It is really interesting how I accidentally come across new photographers from time to time. With the recent death of Jack LaLanne photos of him are popping up all over the place. Especially prominent is a series with fellow body builder Jack Thomas. Thomas is a scrumptious little number (I LOVE little men), and I went looking for imagery of him. Most of what I found was photographed by Russ Warner, a rather well known body building/fitness photographer. Here are a few images of Jack Thomas, several with Jack LaLanne. They look good together. Who knows what was going on there, considering that LaLanne had a rep for being a homomphobe. But, a fun fantasy.

Today is just a few shots that caught my eye as I searched different blogs. No theme, just fun or interesting.

BELL SOTO/ photographer

A photographer who hails from Peru and works from London and New York, Bell Soto's work usually falls into a fashion type genre. In viewing his work, I noticed these images were somewhat of a departure from his typical style.

So I periodically go through the blog roll at the right and noticed that several had no updates for considerable time. There were three or four that had no recent posts for over a year, one for two years. I now understand why followers of this blog may get discouraged if I do not post regularly. Sometimes I just get lazy. I will try harder to stay on top of it. Anyway, I eliminated some of the most stale blogs I had listed (about a dozen in all) and a couple that just didn't have a good fit for us. Now I get to cruise the blog rolls and add more here. Actually, that's half the fun. And just so you won't feel ripped off over a text post, here's a pic for you. The photographer's name is Tom Cullis.
