Back in June of 2010 I featured some photos by Crawford Barton from the 70's. As I said then, one of his favorite subjects was his lover of 22 years, Larry Lara. Ran across this on Fine and Dandy, a blog I like. Not sure if Crawford took the photo, but I'll bet he did.

Eike von Stuckenbrok is an amazinly talented , as well as handsome young man. The twenty year old gymnast hails from Germany, and is part of something called Soap, The Show. These clips are both from that show. The first is Eike solo, where the second clip is Eike with others from the show. The photos are from Favorit Hunks & Other Things blog. The first three are by Bertil Nilsson, the fourth is uncredited, and the last one is by Marc Theis

GEORGE PLATT LYNES / photographer

Back in November of 2009, the very early days of this blog, I posted a photo by George Platt Lynes. I recently realized that I had not featured any of his other work. Lynes supported himself with portrait photography for the socially prominent and fashion work for leading magazines, but those assignments didn't hold his interest over time. In fact, before his death in 1955 at age 48, he destroted most of his fashion work, the very photographs that had made him famous. His real passion was the male nude, a pursuit he began as early as 1929. In view of prevailing laws and social climate, it was a daring undertaking. Lynes interest in male nude photography continued for over two decades even though few of these pictures were exhibited during his lifetime.

TREVOR GREEN / photographer

I noticed a new follower to this blog today, and as I always do, I followed the links to find out about this person. Turns out, he is an up-and-coming (I certainly think) photographer from Atlanta. From what little I know at this point, he features men of color, and they are wonderful. I found these shots from a series called Garage Boys. This model is Patrick Allen. I definitely intend to find out more about Trevor and have no doubt he will have a solid career ahead of him. And thanks, Trevor, for following my blog!

Found this series at a site here. It is all about induction into the Russian Army. The photos are credited to Reuters, but can't tell you much else because the site is in cyrillic. But the photos are great fun.

MAKS VASILEV/ photographer

Maks Vasilev is a Serbian photogapher (I think) whom I could find nothing on. But his work is fine and I wanted to share.
